How soon can you get me a tutor?
Sometimes as soon as the next day, in case where your child suddenly panics before a big test and asks for help! But typically the process takes a little longer. Once we understand your requirements it will take us a day to contact the tutor who best fits your requirements. Then we will call you back with our suggested tutor and their availability, and then, if everything looks good, we will take your first hour's payment and you're set to go! Remember, we guarantee the first session; if you are not delighted with your tutor, we will refund your money, no questions asked.
What are your fees?
That's a fair question and we hate to be a little vague in our response: typically $40/hr for elementary school, $45/hr for high school. But this can vary -- higher when you need a tutor with specialized skills, or if the perfect tutor for you has to drive an extra distance to your home -- or possibly lower if you require multiple hours of tutoring per week.
Add your own questions or comments below, we'll answer as soon as we can. (Or just email jcatron@inhometutorsdetroit.com or call us at 248-630-3080).

Is there a minimum hour requirement?

No, we do not ask clients to sign up for a monthly or longterm contract. You can stop tutoring at any time or skip a lesson without having to schedule a make-up session.

Yes, absolutely. We have helped adults prepare for their GED or ASVAB; we have tutors experienced in adult literacy or ESL, and also frequently work with non-traditional adult students who are returning to college after many years and need help with math or writing. Call us at 248-630-3080 and let us know your requirements!
